Greetings, fellow radio amateurs and friends from around the world.

As March draws to a close, we bring you an update from our beloved city of Kharkiv and the wider Kharkiv Oblast. Life continues under the pressure of war, but our spirits remain unbroken, and our antennas still reach the skies.

This month has once again tested our resilience. On the nights of Saturday, March 29th and Tuesday, April 2nd, russian terrorist forces targeted Kharkiv with drone attacks. These cowardly strikes aimed at civilian infrastructure brought damage and anxiety to our communities. We heard the buzzing of Shahed drones over our rooftops, and many of us stayed awake, listening and hoping they'd be shot down before causing harm. The sound of explosions reminded us again that our city, just 40 kilometers from the border, remains in the line of fire.

Yet through it all, the people of Kharkiv endure with courage. We go on with our lives — repairing, rebuilding, supporting each other, and of course, staying on the airwaves.

Amateur radio continues to play a meaningful role in our daily lives. Besides being a source of joy and communication, our community is actively supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Through our ongoing fundraising efforts, we help provide vital radio equipment to various military regiments. These devices improve battlefield communication, coordination, and safety for our defenders.

We also contribute to the rehabilitation of wounded and disabled Ukrainian soldiers. Whether it's medical equipment, transportation, or basic needs during recovery — your donations make a difference.

If you're reading this and would like to support our cause, please visit our website:

Every donation — big or small — is a signal of solidarity, a wave of hope, and a reminder that we are not alone in this fight.

Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for being part of this global amateur radio family. We’ll be back next month with another update from the frontlines of Kharkiv.

Stay strong, stay united, and keep the frequency open.

73,

TDR Team
